The house was quiet and the world was calm…
The quiet was part of the meaning, part of the mind: The access of perfection…
The house was quiet…
And the world was calm.

-Wallace Stevens

Calm, quiet, and peace, are ideals that we often associate with the home of our dreams.  Add breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay, and Marin Headlands; and then place the home just blocks away from the shops, restaurants, ferry boats, and public facilities of downtown Belvedere / Tiburon; and bring the renowned ridge top Trails of the Saint Hillary’s and Martha Property Open Spaces to the end of the street; place the remodeled home on a very private street to street lot at the end of a tiny cul-de-sac; and you begin to describe the exceptional property found at 22 St. Bernard Lane, in Tiburon, California.

The “wish list” treasure trove includes…

  • 14 total rooms on three floors.
  • 4471 Sq. Ft. (per draftsperson).
  • 5 bedrooms (four of which are ensuite).
  • 5.5 baths (5 full baths and 1 half bath).
  • Formal Living Room, Formal Dining Room, Family Room (with Fireplace) off the large eat-in kitchen.
  • A second, informal dining area off the kitchen has direct access to the East garden and patio.
  • Panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands from the living room, dining room, and primary bedroom, office, and west facing decks.
  • Garden level Media Room / Rumpus Room / Play Room, with direct access to the west lawn.
  • Ground floor ensuite guest bedroom.
  • Large laundry room with plenty of storage closets.
  • Two car garage parking, with electric car charging station, storage cabinets, and professional grade finished floors.
  • Additional parking (3-4 more cars) on the paved driveway.
  • End of cul-de-sac location.
  • Street-to-street lot.
  • Major remodel of the home and landscaping, under the direction of well known San Francisco Designer, Jeff Schlarb; enhancing both the form and the function of this traditional three story home.

Tiburon Panoramic View Home

Tiburon’s waterfront location makes it a prime destination for Marin County homebuyers.
For a town of less than 10,000 residents, Tiburon offers a variety of activities that belies its small size. The annual Tiburon International Film Festival brings films from around the world. Residents enjoy shopping in the elegant boutiques along Ark Row, a leafy, block-long enclave of tiny shops that were once floating arks, and dining at the excellent restaurants along Main Street.

For the nautically inclined, Tiburon's Corinthian Yacht Club hosts races on the bay. Ferries to San Francisco and Angel Island State Park leave from the dock at Tiburon.
Tiburon's parks are strung out like pearls on a necklace along the water’s edge. Blackie's Pasture, named after an old swaybacked horse that once lived here, is a popular spot for hikers, joggers, bikers, moms with strollers, and dog walkers. On weekends, the parks fill up with soccer players of all ages.
